Student Rules

Student Rules and Regulations (2019)

  1. Students must be on time for school and must not leave during school time. Parents should inform the school if their child cannot attend class sending an email to info@chinesefellowship.org.au or call Principal SHAO 0435-867-188 so that any missed class lesson materials or homework can be appropriately arranged by the class teacher and Principal’s assistance can be provided.
  2. Students should concentrate on studies during class time; abide by the classroom regulations framed by the school; complete homework in the given deadline.
  3. Student should take care of any personal belongings. The school takes no responsibility for any loss.
  4. Students are permitted to eat or drink in classrooms or corridors during class breaks, but any rubbish should be discarded in rubbish bins.
  5. Students are not allowed to run, make excessive noise and play balls in foyers and corridors. Electronic devices may be used during class, with permission from the teacher.
  6. It is the student’s responsibility to pay for any damaged school properties, equipments or personal belongings of others.
  7. Every student has the right to protect themselves from abuse, bullying, and harassment; including cyberbullying. No one makes you feel unsafe or afraid at school or elsewhere, including anyone in your family. If you feel unsafe, please tell the school teacher right away.
  8. Students must leave early from class for any reason on a school day, their parents must complete and sign an Early Leave Form before departure.
  9. Parents should pick up their child on time. When entering/leaving the school foyer, students should be cautious of any vehicles off  the road to avoid car accidents.
  10. Students who breach the rules of the school despite warnings will be handled with the assistance of parents. If the student continues to breach school rules, the school reserves the right to expel the student where no refund of school fees will be made.
  11. Half-yearly school fees and student registration forms should be paid and completed within the first two weeks of school term. Students who have not paid will not be allowed in classrooms and must return all learning materials given by the school.
  12. The school should be informed with any changes to contact details (for example, address, telephone number, email, etc.).

School Notice – 23 July 2016 Nanhai Foshan Dali Experimental Primary School visiting our school, Kew campus

To all Parents and Students:

23 July 2016 Saturday 9:30 – 11:30AM Dali Experimental Primary School,  Foshan, Nanhai District, CHINA will visit our Chinese School, Kew campus.

A big welcome for DEPS Vice-Principal, 4 teachers, 1 parents and 39 students who will join us for a gathering.
DEPS students will have a great entertaining program for us including Kung Fu tea-making, calligraphy and group singing.
Our Kinder & Prep children will sing as well.
The performance will be held in Memorial Great Hall, Middle School of Carey Baptist Grammar School.

All parents and students from our Chinese school Kew and Templestowe campus are most welcome to join us for this gathering.

DR YALI SHAO – EDUCATION

YALI SHAO has been a teacher of Chinese language for over 21 years. She has taught theVictorian Certificate of Education (VCE) class at the Chinese Fellowship Chinese School since1995, and has been the principal since 2004. Her students have benefited not only from her academic tertiary qualifications, but also for her experience in teaching VCE classes in the state education system. Yali makes a difference in the lives of her students and goes above and beyond to ensure they are supported in their studies. She contributes immensely to the school by developing and implementing the VCE Chinese study curriculum and ensuring all her VCE students achieve to the best of their own learning capabilities. She brings a unique combination of her invaluable skills and experience in quality Chinese language teaching.

Her interaction with students of various backgrounds and cultures at different levels truly
makes her a respected teacher.
